On this page, I have put together some information to help you assess my translation service.

Rates

Since I only translate file-based documents, my translation rate is based on the number of translated words (source text).
There is also a flat translation rate of 10 Cents/EUR per word, which makes for really simple price calculations: use the word count feature of your software to obtain the number of words and divide by 10, which gives you the translation fee in Euros.
This fee will actually be reduced by the amount of repetitive text and to some extent even similar text within your document – my translation memory software will prompt me accordingly.

In compliance with special taxation arrangements affecting translators (§3a Abs.4 Nr.3 UStG), VAT is charged on invoices for German companies and European individuals including Germans, but not for European companies outside of Germany.
