Generating LaTeX output from perltidy
Create syntax highlighted Perl source code for LaTeX
This article describes a quick solution of leveraging the popular Perl source code formatter perltidy in producing visually pleasing LaTeX output for all kinds of documentation.
perltidy can output HTML using the command line option --html.
The perl script I present here parses the generated HTML file and generates LaTeX output. Of course there are many ways to improve this ad-hoc solution, but the source should be helpful if you are starting out developing a similar script.
The download package contains the script, an HTML file produced by perltidy when run on the script as input, and a sample PDF file from the LaTeX source generated by the script.
